There are so many opportunities in the foothills above Davis County. This group is for recreational hikers to enjoy the scenery and one another's company. Purpose of the group? Davis County Hiking group is for that recreational hiker. All our excersions will be in the county. Let's get familiar with the trails and people who love them in the area. What is the level of difficulty? We are targeting the recreational hiker. The one that is enjoying the trip up the canyon and not looking at the watch to see how fast they are going. Also is in shape enough that we are not worried if we will have to hall you back down.... Most hikes will be easy to moderate and range from a 2-5 miles. Any fee to join the group? Only if we pick a place that has a fee. I can cover the hosting fee but always appreciate a few bucks to help now and again.

At the moment this group is geared more towards people interested in wildlife/nature photography, but we hope to be branching out to all different aspects of photography, i.e. portrait, macro, abstract, architecture, etc. I'd like to incorporate mild hikes or nature walks into this group. We will primarily be in and around the Salt Lake Valley and the surrounding nearby mountains. Experience is not necessary. Feel free to tag along and enjoy even if you don't have a camera. All ages and experience levels welcome.

What is 9/12?
The 9-12 Project is a national movement designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created.
That same feeling - that commitment to country is what we are hoping to foster with this idea. We want to get everyone thinking like it is September 12th, 2001 again.

Get Informed is all about education and resources on the Constitution, founding principles and how to reach our elected representatives at the national, state and local level.
Get Involved is all about taking action - doing something that makes a difference. There are five committees each focusing on tasks that will help fulfill one or more of the 5 Fold Mission. These committees are:

This group brings together people who tend to focus their lives around human and higher consciousness. This group is open to anyone, and is a forum for discussing topics of higher awareness. There are many opportunities to share experiences and share the light within consciousness. We do meditations together, talk about awakening, enlightenment, etc. and bring food items to enjoy with one another. We have tons of weekly events in Davis and Weber County involving our kids and also MNO's (Moms Night Out)! Just fill out a complete profile and upload an "actual physical photo" of yourself if you're interested in joining (with your child(ren) and/or family is ok).
For membership, we do require a $12.00 (Cash or PayPal) initial membership fee that is due within 14 days after joining (date of acceptance). Membership fees ($12.00) are then collected thereafter bi-annually on June 1st and December 1st of every year. The fees pay for parties, monthly craft events, KITK (Kids In The Kitchen), and miscellaneous expenses to maintain our awesome group! We are a not for profit group. We have a no refund policy. hello im looking for 40k players in the roy and surrounding areas, but i certainly wouldn't turn away slc kids. experience level isnt an issue i am willing to take it slow so as people can learn to play. 40k is a turn based minuatures game set eons into the future. many races are in constant battle with each other for their own means. games tend to last 6-8 hours depending on size and skill level. I am currently building scenery if you have some please bring it along. i have two armies the space marines and the necrons, so if your looking to give it a whirl without the investment you may use one of my armies to see if its your bag. i will post a date when i get some people interested and some more scenery put together. we will be playing at my house and i will be more then hospitable.
